January 28, 2024 Antlered Deer Season Closes

The following is a list of guidelines for the 2023-2024 Hunting Season:

1. Each membership is allowed a bag limit of two trophy bucks.
2. There is no limit to the number of does per membership. As long as doe tags are available a membership is allowed to harvest a doe.
3. MLDP Permits will be located at the Number One Sign-In Box. These permits will be used only when a buck or doe is harvested. There are different permits for each sex. A permit must be secured to the deer prior to leaving Renfro. The permits are in numerical order and need to correlate with our Harvest Record Book. Use the MLDP permit only when you have harvested a deer. Do not take a permit until you have harvested a deer and are signing out.
4. Every buck deer harvested from Renfro must have a Boone & Crocket score from one of the designated scorers for our club. Please see the list of scorers in the Number One Sign-In Box. This is a requirement of the landowner.
5. Every buck harvested must have its picture taken, posted to the Band app and sent to the club secretary by February 15, 2024. This is a requirement of the landowner.
6. Each member will be allowed ten (10) guest passes.
7. No hunting guests will be allowed the first six days of deer and squirrel season.
8. Remove and tag each jawbone. Do not attempt to age your deer. Use the metal tags that correlates with our Harvest Record Book.
9. Hunt safely and be a good Sportsman.

Penalties for Non-Compliance
1. For any buck deer harvested that is determined to be under age (trophy or cull), a member will be fined $250.00 and will forfeit the ability to shoot additional buck deer (cull or trophy) for the remainder of the season. The member will be allowed to shoot does and hogs once the $250 fine has been submitted. If the age of a buck is disputed, an appeals policy is in place.
2. Any membership that has two under aged deer harvest mistakes within a three year time frame, will be brought before the board for review of membership status.
3. Any member not recording the dressed weight of a deer, the antler measurements and the B&C score of a buck or have a jaw bone turned in by February 15, 2024 will be fined $250.00. B&C measurements are to be scored by the members on the list in the number one sign in box.
